CLIENT OFF

CAMERA ON

THEME

At Moriet & Brro, we spend our days creating high-end visuals for architecture and real estate clients around the world. We work with big ideas, big expectations — and often, very limited budgets. In many cases, we’re paid to deliver a single image of a space that we know holds much more potential.
What happens if we switch off the client?
What happens when the goal is no longer to sell, but to explore?
This competition invites MADI students to step into selected real-life 3D scenes from our studio — fully built and production-ready — and simply look around.
Not as clients. Not as technicians. But as image-makers, observers, photographers.

OBJECTIVE

Use the provided scenes as your playground — and your lens.
We want you to explore space, light, detail, and emotion without external expectations.
Whether you choose to capture a single bold frame, a quiet sequence of images, or even a short animation — the narrative is yours to define.
What stories can be told through framing, focus, mood, and silence?

WHAT YOU CAN SUBMIT

You may submit:
A single final image
A series of images (e.g. photographic essay, variations on a mood)
A short animation (camera movement, light/time changes, mood transitions)

TECHNICAL GUIDELINES

• The core workflow should be based on 3ds Max and Corona Renderer.
• In addition, Photoshop and AI-based tools for post-production or enhancement
are allowed and encouraged.
• You may adjust lighting, framing, mood, camera settings, colors freely
• The use of additional assets is permitted for contextual storytelling, but no full
remodelling is expected or required
Maximum resolution: 4000px on longest side
Suggested formats: .jpg for images, .mp4 for animations

EVALUATION CRITERIA

Entries will be evaluated based on:
Narrative quality – Is there a sense of story, mood, or curiosity?
Photographic eye – Framing, light, and spatial awareness
Emotional resonance – Does it make us feel something?
Originality – What perspective have you found that we haven’t?

SUBMISSION FORMAT

Final entry: “Name_Surname_Title”
Additional: Raw render / Clay pass / Drafts (optional but encouraged)
