BIO
Francesco Guerra is the director of the Photogrammetry Laboratory at IUAV.
He teaches automatic drawing, topography, cartography, computer graphics and multimedia. His preferred fields of research are the treatment of digital images (geometric and radiometric), architectural surveying with advanced techniques (photogrammetry and laser-scanning), urban and historical cartography in digital form, and multimedia cartography. He has written software for the treatment of relevant data and, in particular, for the laser-scanner and photogrammetry. He has directed campaigns of architectural or archaeological importance of monuments in Italy and abroad, from the Arena of Verona to the city of Laodicea, from the island of Torcello to the walls of the Arsenal of Venice.
