CHASING SHADOWS
The Chasing Shadows competition is not just an exercise, it is a gateway into something real. This September, we will host an exhibition in Milan, showcasing our work in a former industrial space. And we want our future intern(s) to be part of this journey, not just as participants but as contributors to a tangible creative process. This is your chance to step into a real-world project, shape an atmosphere, and leave your mark on an exhibition that will come to life…
GUIDELINES
Location: The exhibition will be set in Milan.
Space: You must choose one of the available spaces from the provided model (attached).
Target Audience: The project should be designed for an audience of architects, photographers, and art enthusiasts.
Type: The image must depict an interior (no exterior views).
Content: The exhibition will showcase photographic images only, so no statues or three-dimensional installations.
Lighting: You are free to choose between natural light, artificial light, or a combination of both.
TECHNICAL RULES
Tools: You can use any software and decide how much to model in 3D and how much post-production to apply.
Resolution: The final image must have a maximum long side of 1400 px.
Format: You can choose any format, vertical, square, or horizontal.
SUBMISSION
- Final render: “Name_Surname_Image title”
- Raw render: “Name_Surname_Raw Render”
- Any sketches or additional materials that might enhance the presentation of your work.

AWARD
The jury will be composed of MADI professors and, of course, our entire team. The winner(s) will join our Milan team, which is expanding this year and moving into its very own dedicated space!
