BIO
Andrea Cogo graduated as an architect at IUAV University in 2014. His final thesis with Benno Albrecht was research work representing futuristic urban scenarios in a post-oil world. The highly visual approach eventually led Andrea into the architectural visualisation path. In 2013 , after participating at the international workshop World Students Rethink Nihonbashi in Tokyo, he moved to Berlin for an intership and fells in love with the city. During summer 2014 he went back to Italy to work at the Venice Biennale as a mediator. After graduating, he flew back to Berlin to start his visualisation career at Bloomimages. Now a senior 3D artist, he has created images for some of the most important architecture studios around the world such as BIG, Diller Scofidio+Renfro, Snøhetta, ODA, Henning Larsen, Trahan Architects, Gabriel Calatrava, Perkins+Will and PLP. His works have been selected as final in international competitions, such as One Rendering Challenge, D2 Challenges and Evermotion challenges. In 2018 he was invited to share his expertise with MADI’s students during final reviews and thesis discussions. In 2019 he kicked-off the Bloomimages Competition to select talented MADI students for interships in the firm. Since 2020 he has been part of the MADI team as a teacher.
