The studio is a standout in the Italian archviz scene.
The team, composed of over twenty visualizers, all of whom are architects, works under the artistic direction of Filippo Bolognese and benefits from the administrative and managerial support of Federica Bolognese and Clara Lopez. Starting this year, Filippo and Clara also teach at the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio, where both graduated. Their course is titled “Image as Project.”
“Representing a project means capturing its essence and conveying it through an appropriate synthesis. For this synthesis to be successful, the image must be well-designed.
We’re not particularly passionate about technology (though we certainly use it), and we’re not experts in communication or marketing, but we know and love architecture. It’s no coincidence that everyone in our office is an architect. From this perspective, having a point of reference like the MADI has been invaluable. Over the years, it has allowed us to enrich our team with architects who, like us, are deeply passionate about architecture and its representation.”
Every year, the studio takes part in the “Meet the Firm” events organized by the Digital Architecture Master’s Course, a format that facilitates networking between architecture and archviz firms and MADI students. Each year, the studio offers one or more students the opportunity to have an unforgettable internship experience.
Some former students, like Virna Rossetto, Andrea Brichese, and Aleksandar Jankovic, have chosen to stay and continue collaborating with the studio.

“Our studio works on architectural competitions in over 90% of cases.
Maybe one day we’ll change our focus, but for now, there’s nothing more satisfying for us.
We receive ‘newborn’ projects, often handed to us with uncertainties and fears from the designers themselves, who share with us a project still secret from the rest of the world. At that moment, no one knows if the project will ever become a reality, casting shadows on the ground, or if the images we create will remain the only non-technical visual expression of an idea destined to stay as such.
Projects, like people, can have flaws as well as strengths. Our role is to interpret the architecture with the aim of creating a good portrait, one that minimizes the flaws and accentuates the strengths of what we choose to represent.
In doing so, we don’t invent anything new. On the contrary, we constantly draw from the past. We study solutions from the world of art, trying to understand how photographers and painters of the past addressed issues like composition, the centrality of the subject, chiaroscuro, a sense of depth, and balance between visual weights, just to name a few. We try to continue their legacy.”
