Master Digital Architecture Iuav,

X edition.

Madi X

University Master degree should not be confused with the many existing masters in the private sector: unlike these, in fact, the MADI confers a real degree.
Specifically, the second level master corresponds to level 8 of the European Qualifications Framework, such as PhD or specialization diploma.

With nine years of history always sold out, the MADI is the flagship master of the IUAV University

They are now a real community, which sometimes meets (next reunion, June 8 in Venice!). Some of them  have returned to the master to teach.

MADI lectures are held at the University of Architecture, in the historic centre, in Badoer (http://www.iuav.it/Ateneo1/Sedi/Sedi-venez/palazzo-Ba/) and Ca’ Tron (http://www.iuav.it/Ateneo1/Sedi/Sedi-venez/ca–Tron/).

The focus of the master is on digital tools for architecture. So we will not talk about design (enough has been said in the years of study) but digital tools to design, verify, communicate the project.

The modules will deal with polygonal and parametric modeling, traditional and real time rendering, post production, video animation, 3D scans and immersive reality (virtual and augmented).

As a tradition (but from last year in optional form) there will be coding, electronic prototyping and 3d printing.

With the aim of providing both a solid foundation and unconventional elements of disorder.

Former students are always involved in the activities of the master, they can go back to see lessons on topics that they want to deepen or that when they were enrolled did not exist.

MADI are MADI forever: from March to June about every 3 weeks there are aperiMADI, beer-driven events; in June 2019 the first reunion of all exMADI; the community abroad in the meantime grows and in some studios are working three or four exMADI simultaneously.
